Jeff hails from the Rosebush area of Isabella County where he has lived within a two-mile radius his entire life.  In 1973, when faced with the choice of staying in college or going home to take over the family dairy farm, Jeff did not hesitate to clear out his dorm room and head home, knowing that being a dairy farmer was what he wanted to do.  More cows, land and equipment lead to a tough decision when faced with loan renewals in the era of 18% to 21% interest rates.  He often says he went broke in 1981 but did not realize it until 1986. At that time, he started representing agricultural equipment Manufactures the likes of Henke Machine and Westfaila Systemat, to name a few in Michigan and Indiana. He also sold some of his own farmland in order to save the home farm. 

After a few years another door opened when in 1992 Jeff became an active real estate agent focusing on farms throughout Michigan and later into becoming a commercial building owner. With that, farmland and commercial properties exposed him to an extensive career in the sale, leasing, ownership, management and auctioning of properties. Since his start in real estate, he has been involved in real estate transactions in over 61 Michigan counties and across Ohio, Indiana and Minnesota. Jeff has experience setting on and appearing before Planning and Zoning Commissions, Drain Boards of Determination, serving on taxation Boards of Review as well as serving as a Township Supervisor for 18 years. He also consults on behalf of debtors in the workout and restructure of trouble assets and businesses, real estate property tax matters and in farm centered challenges with cooperation with attorneys and accountants.

Jeff has been happily married to his wife Lee Ann for nearly 50 years and has two children and 3 grandchildren who all remain close and dear to his heart.
